As a component of Asia, ASEAN is located in the crossroad of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, at the same time, it’s also one of the most important strategic partners of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road. The cooperation between ASEAN and China is of great value to the Belt and Road construction. The forum, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, has not only played a unique role in pooling consensus and putting forward valuable "Boao proposals," but also engaged countries in addressing global issues and promoting world development and prosperity.
