Premier LI Keqiang Stressed Role of Regional Cooperation

    Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivered a speech at the 24th ASEAN plus China, Japan and South Korea summit held on October 27, 2021. The meeting was also called 10+3, and the Korean President Moon Jae, the new Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and leaders of the 10 ASEAN countries also attended the meeting.

    At the meeting, the importance of deepening economic integration and industrial cooperation in Southeast Asia and East Asia was emphasized, and it was suggested that ASEAN and three emergency medical response reserve centres should be expedite to enhance the ability of the region to deal with COVID-19. In the future, China will continue to share its poverty reduction experience with other countries and increase its support and investment in the group's rice emergency reserve mechanism. He added that China would continue to import high-quality agricultural products from ASEAN countries.
